Netflix on iPhone! Yah baby!

Netflix released their iPhone app today!

Now I can stream Netflix on my iMac, PC, PS3, iPad and iPhone!

I got the iPhone 4 jingle stuck in my head LOL…
“…if you don’t want an iPhone 4, don’t buy it…
…if you bought one and you don’t like it, bring it back…”

30 lbs in 90 days.

Now that I have the bike trainer setup indoors with road tires, I am able pedal and watch some streamed Netflix movies and programs.

Blow
Scent of a Woman (I’ve seen this before, but it’s been a while.)
Black Hawk Down (I’ve seen this as well, but I love modern war movies.)
Heat (Just seemed appropriate after watching Scent of a Woman.)
Auschwitz: Inside the Nazi State
Frontline: Digital Nation
WarGames

I need to lose about 30lbs in about 3 months. That’s a lot of pedaling and a lot of Netflix I’m going to be watching 🙂

DO NOT attempt this on a Windows PC!!

What I was running with my iMac 27″ 2.8GHz Core i7 with 8GB RAM:

YouTube – Annoying Orange
YouTube – F1 Races
Netflix – The Office
Hulu – House
BitGravity – TWIT.tv
iTunes – Star Trek
OS X – iCal
OS X – Mail
Parallels – Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit (w/2GB RAM)
Parallels – Windows XP Professional 32-bit (w/1GB RAM)

…and that wasn’t even causing a hint of slow down yet. I imagine I can do double what I had up, but I simply didn’t have the realty to show it on screen. Sorry for the crappy iPhone video.

Oh, the pain!

I haven’t had a chance to update my blog in a while. This is mostly due to lower back/hip pains I have been suffering – likely arthritic since it started when the weather suddenly started feeling like “winter.”

It’s simple math: Lower back/hip pains = restless sleep = fatigue during the day = me so grumpy.

I decided to sell much of the RC collection I just recently acquired. I realized that I started to stray from my original purpose (which was only to collect carbon fiber racer chassis.) Also, I’m getting kind of tired dealing with eBay scammers. You regular eBayers know what I’m talking about. So I put most of the kits up for sale. LOL. I know – wth? I will continue to collect, but be a bit more picky with what I will what I buy. And I probably won’t buy from eBay any longer. You can click here to see what I have been selling. A few auctions finish tonight…so I will be busy getting all these kits packed up throughout the week. As I am writing this, my F104 Ferrari that I worked so hard to build, sold for $356!!! Wow, that’s kind of crazy LOL.

I recently acquired a TRF415 racing chassis kit. This was my dream RC kit just before I jumped into nitro powered cars. With a $600+ pricetag, I never thought I would ever buy one…until I happen to run into an eBay auction for one! While I have been nursing my back, I have been spending time putting this car together. Why am I building it? Well, the kit was not 100% mint and complete after receiving it (and it was supposed to be) so I was able to negotiate the final auction price of $230 down to $130! Even at $230 this kit was a bargain! But this is another reason why I no longer want to use eBay. It’s such a pain in the ass dealing with these transactions that go sour.

We received our Netflix Streaming Disc for the PS3 – Yippeee….just another cool way to watch our Instant Queue in Netflix.

We hit Seafood City in Concord. Seafood City FTMFW!!! Ranch 99? Forget about it. Le Asia? Forget about it. Pretty soon Jollibee, Chow King, and Red Ribbon will be opening inside of the Seafood City complex! Pinoy!

We payed a visit to the Manny Pacquiao billboard in Niketown…and also picked up a few limited editions shirts!

Netflix YAY

So it’s been a couple of months since we started our Netflix subscription. We’ve watched quite a few good movies:

Slumdog Millionaire
Role Models
Knocked Up
Forgetting Sarah Marshall
The Duchess
The Bucket List
Mr. and Mrs. Smith
Russell Peters: Red, White, and Brown
Formula One Review

We’ve also watched, literally dozen of movies, TV shows, and documentaries, streamed thru TiVo. Here are some memorable ones:

Frontline: The War Briefing
No End in Sight
Donnie Brasco
Priceless
Superbad
The Green Mile
The Office

Looking forward to receiving:

The Reader
John Q.
Robot Chicken Star Wars
Blood Diamond
Revolutionary Road

…on another note, we got our new dishwasher installed. It works great – we’ll be using it more often since it will reduce water and energy use. Only 2 gallons of water a load. We easily use more than 2 gallons of water hand washing. We only used our dishwasher once in a while…and the reason why it probably broke was because we hadn’t run it in months.

I need a vacation. We haven’t gone on vacation in over a year.
