Think Tank Shape Shifter Backpack

The gear keeps on arriving! This time I received my Think Tank Shape Shifter Backpack! This backpack is amazing because you can adjust its size based on what equipment you want to bring. Fully compressed it’s only 3″ thick. It can expand up to 10″ thick if you load it up! I have been holding off on a backpack for a long time because I found that most backpacks were over-padded and extremely large and bulky. After many months of buying, testing, returning, research, and waiting, I finally found the perfect backpack for my needs.

Here it is next to my iPad to give you a sense of its size:

Here is all the gear I am going to put into it sans the D800 body. SheryAnne’s Nikon J1 will take it’s place. BTW, I would never carry all of this gear at one time – this is just to show how much gear can fit in it:

All my gear inside the bag:

Here is a quick list of everything that I put in the bag:
Nikon 1 V1
Nikon 1 J1
Nikon 1 10-30mm Zoom x2
Nikon 1 10mm Prime x2
Nikon FT1 Adapter
Nikon SB-N5 Speedlight
Nikkor 50mm Prime
Nikkor 24-70mm Zoom
Nikkor 70-200mm Zoom
Nikkor 2.0x Teleconverter
Think Tank Pixel Pocket Rocket
Nikon ML-L3 Remote
Nikon MH-25 Battery Charger
Nikon EN-EL-15 Battery
Giotto’s Pocket Rocket
Manfrotto Monopod

…and I haven’t even touched the pockets! There is a ton of room left for more gear! I will easily be able to fit my future 14-24mm lens in there!

Oh, D800, where art thou?
